Feeling sick after exercise

Up to this date, I am still an undergraduate student of sports science . Currently I am in my 4th and final year at my university. During our courses this question was pumping up a lot. I had never experienced nausea after a workout since at the time we had a similar course about overtraining and overreaching I was not doing any type of exercise at all. Unfortunately, when I realised that I had to get back on track I started feeling really weird. Extremely exhausted after a work out and I had a constant feeling that I was going to be sick. Since  our professors at college had informed us about the importance of eating before and after working out I could not understand what was going on.  Luckily, this year we had an interesting course about exhaustion. Also I was delegated to do an assignment on eating disorders so after a lot of research on scientific articles, I was finally able to identify the reason for this whole situation.
First of all, when we exercise our bodies tend to sweat a lot which basically means that we loose a fair amount of water from our bodies. Most people are familiar with this important functionality. However, usually unexperienced individuals, tend to avoid drinking water or even eating before or after their workouts. And that is simply because they think that in this way they can achieve better results, especially when measuring themselves on a scale. The biggest mistake of all is believing that a healthy body and a healthy mind are determined by the number of our weight . All this factors can lead to dehydration and as a result our bodies react to our "vandalism" during extreme exercises. If you are like me and you plainly can not drink water during a work out or else you will throw up, try to at least  put a little bit of water on your mouth. An amazing teacher from my university told us once that this is a trick that  marathon runners do in order to be able to fool their minds and still be kind of like hydrated. Eating a good meal before working out is of the essence. Personally I found my workout more efficient when I exercise 2 hours after my breakfast or around 1 hour before my lunch time. Nevertheless, when we have busy schedules working out in the morning is not an option. But still, I would suggest to do at least 1 of your workout sessions around 1 hour before your lunch.In this way your body will have a whole day to relax and regain energy.
Last but not least, the type of exercise that you do really plays a huge role to all of this. If you are working out inside your home on your own, make sure to talk with a personal trainer or your doctor about the volume and the intensity of your workouts. You may also be under a lot of stress and mental discomfort lately. As a result you may do extreme workouts in order to relax yourself. You may even be addicted to your weight (like I am) and want to exercise severely in order to burn more calories. But we all have to understand something here. The importance is a healthy body and a healthy mind. Every individual is different and our bodies function in variety of ways. Consult a trainer or your doctor before you do any type of exercise or workout and always remember to eat and drink plenty of water .
